Version 3.0.5 introduces several improvements that aim to enhance functionality and user experience. This update includes key features like automatic device activation and the ability to filter devices based on their online status. We’ve also made a number of bug fixes and backend optimisations to improve system performance and stability.
Features
- Enabled automatic device activation for licensed users with previously activated devices on Endpoint Cloud.
- Devices can now be filtered by their online/offline status on the Protection screen in the Endpoint Cloud tenant.
- Added datastore integrity checks to the Vault, accessible on the Vault status page in the Endpoint Cloud tenant and via email alerts for customers who have opted-in to evaluate the Cloud Vault Status beta feature. This beta feature is available on request and requires the Vault to be upgraded to version 3.0.5.
Updates
- Remote desktop sessions no longer initiate unnecessary device discoveries. This requires the Discovery Agent to be upgraded to version 3.0.5.
- Improved system stability when performing operations on teams or Vaults with hundreds of assigned devices, including policy updates, Vault and policy assignments, and modifications to Vault details. E.g. Vault Alias, port, hostname/IP updates.
- Improved the filtering behaviour of the sidebar and added a new failure reasons.
- A new failure reason has also been added to display when a devices previous backup may have been invalid. This will reflect under the sidebar, dashboard and email reports as ‘Previous Backup Invalid’. This event typically only occurs when a vault has been recovered from a backup which does not include the device’s previous backup. The Protection Agent will then perform a full scan and backup any new or changed files.
Bugfixes
- Resolved an issue where some devices in Endpoint Cloud may not appear in the filtered lists for ‘Unprotected’ or ‘Protected with Warning’ when the failure or warning reason was grouped under the ‘Other’ reasons filter option.
- Fixed the back-button behaviour when editing Vault settings, ensuring that when users choose to discard changes, they are taken back to the previous screen instead of remaining on the same page.
- Implemented various small improvements to the Endpoint Cloud backend services to enhance system reliability.
