MailStore 10.1 will be released

Among the typical smaller bug fixes and improvements, the following major items will be released with the 10.1

  1. Status reports – Administrators will be able to setup daily or weekly status reports that are send out to a list of email addresses.
  2. Make STARTTLS default in all profiles – Today the majority of email servers require to login via an encrypted connection. Thus, the default for all newly created IMAP profiles is changed to STARTTLS.
  3. Improvements to send Items folder handling – Allow the MailStore admin to specify multiple folders to be treated as Sent Items.
  4. Function to test authentication against a configured directory service – Allows the MailStore admin to test if not only the users can be synchronized successfully with a directory service, but also whether the authorization is working properly.
  5. β€œBlock Admin Access” – Protect administrators from accidentally modify the compliance settings.
    In addition to just log the change, the administrator will now be asked to re-enter his password to confirm the action. Optionally he will be able to type in a reason for the change, which will be logged along with the status change itself.
  6. Exclude Search Indexes from backups – Administrator may configure MailStore to exclude the search indexes from backups.
  7. Reason required when deleting an email and write that information to audit log – Administrator who want to delete message will always have to enter a reason, which is logged in the audit log.
