This Getting started with Device42 video covers an important Device42 first step in readying your environment for comprehensive discovery: connecting a remote collector to your main appliance.

Remote collectors (RCs) can handle larger discovery jobs than the main appliance, as RCs don’t also need to run the D42 application, web interface, and all the ancillaries. We recommend that all deployments have at least one RC!
