Specialist at the Trans-Caledon Tunnel\u00a0Authority (TCTA). \u201cIn order to successfully manage\u00a0such a dramatic increase in data (and the additional\u00a0future increases expected), TCTA makes use of\u00a0Cibecs\u2019 data backup and recovery software.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before the introduction of Cibecs at TCTA, this stateowned\u00a0entity made use of script-based-backup.\u00a0\u201cIt was an overly complicated, labour intensive\u00a0and unreliable method of managing user data,\u201d\u00a0says Maharaj. \u201cData recovery was slow, weighing\u00a0heavily on IT resources whilst also offering little by\u00a0way of management reporting in order to prove our\u00a0business continuity preparedness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>By introducing Cibecs towards the end of 2008,\u00a0TCTA was able to cut data recovery time by several\u00a0hours per incident \u2013 often representing a real\u00a0time and support cost saving of between 500 and\u00a01000%.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s not just the post-installation cost saving that\u00a0has impressed us,\u201d says Maharaj. \u201cThe actual rollout \u00a0of Cibecs was quick and simple \u2013 with guidance\u00a0provided by Cibecs\u2019 on-site IT support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nikesh further states that users have largely been\u00a0oblivious to the Cibecs agent running on their PCs.\u00a0He goes on to list some of the Cibecs features he\u00a0most what,\u00a0when and why.<\/li>\n<li>CENTRAL CONTROL:\u00a0Allows IT to enforce TCTAs data backup policy.\u00a0PSTs:\u00a0\u201cWith Cibecs we have all PSTs safe and easily\u00a0accessible when we need to dig up old email \u2013\u00a0something we\u2019ve had to do on several occasions,\u201d\u00a0says Maharaj.\u00a0\u201cIn short Cibecs has helped us dramatically reduce\u00a0IT support (both in real
